The critical and intensive care group researches a diverse range of topics and employs both quantitative and qualitative methods. Qualitative projects include a case study of enteral feeding practices and life history studies of patients recovering from acute events, while quantitative projects include RCTs comparing replacement infusions with sedation in the ICU.
