The Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery
Our teaching staff have strong links with area health services, major hospitals and community based health services with many clinicians contributing regularly to our teaching.
Our postgraduate courses bring together the significant academic and clinical experience of Faculty staff with the workforce experience of the student, to provide high quality, effective and relevant education in nursing.
Faculty of Nursing graduate courses offer the following advantages.

- Greater choice of study areas.
- Only a few days on-campus attendance per semester per unit.
- Email access and communication with staff.
- Commonwealth supported places are available in many courses.
- Credit for units completed elsewhere.
- Master of Nursing degree full-time or part-time.
- Graduate Certificate courses leading to the Masters degrees.
Graduate coursework degrees
Develop new skills and knowledge, complement existing professional expertise or explore new areas of specialty practice.
Fees
Local students are covered by HECS for many of the coursework courses offered by the Faculty. International tuition fees are currently approximately $18,000-$20,000 per annum. International students may only study full time.
Duration
The Masters degree can be completed in one and a half years full-time and six semesters part-time. The Graduate Diploma may be completed in one semester (full time) or two semesters (part- time). The Graduate Certificates may only be completed in two semesters part-time. There is one intake per year for the March semester.
