Applications to the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) are open to students who are considered by the Faculty to have the requisite knowledge and aptitude to undertake the course. Applicants are expected to have completed their Bachelor of Nursing at credit level or above from The University of Sydney or equivalent university.

Registered nurses who have completed graduate studies in nursing are welcome to apply for prior recognition towards the Masters degree.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree with First or upper Second Class Honours (2nd Class, Division 1) or a Master’s degree from The University of Sydney, or equivalent qualifications from another university or institution and be registered or eligible to register to practice nursing in Australia.

Admission to the doctorate requires a Masters or an Honours degree from an Australian university (or equivalent) and health care sector or professional practice experience of not less than five years.
